During the 2014 Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign, several departments across campus hosted and participated in events to raise money for local charities. On Oct. 27, the Controllers office hosted a building-wide cornhole tournament raising $420 for the campaign, and throughout the month of October, supervisors in Accounts Payable in the Controllers Office hosted a penny war, raising over $600 for local charities. November included a baby photo ID and candy counting contest in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, raising $40 for Feeding America of Southwestern Virginia and the Floyd County Volunteer Fire Department.
